– poetic and organic rock
Talisman is a poetic and organic rock project born between a cabin built in a living room and several musicians’ studios.
Piano, voice, electric guitars, bass, clarinets and layered textures meet in an intimate, cinematic and deeply human universe.
Talisman began as a completely new chapter for both myself and drummer/producer John Shamir.
After our “electro years,” we both felt a strong need to return to something more raw, more organic — almost like coming back to the source. The decision to return to a more organic way of recording came very naturally.
John built his rhythmic world around a very personal drum setup, enriched with African instruments such as the Nigerian udu, alongside traditional hi-hats and cymbals. One detail that always catches attention in concerts is the kilim rug he sits on while playing — it has quietly become part of the visual identity of the project.
For my part, all the songs were composed on my piano — a Grotrian-Steinweg that once belonged to my mother. It’s on this instrument, with its deep personal history, that the music took shape. The lyrics were written in three different languages, as if each song naturally found the language it wanted to speak.
The album also includes two poems I wrote, integrated into pieces that blend electronic textures with natural field recordings. This contrast creates a unique atmosphere — somewhere between organic soundscapes and more abstract sonic layers.

Why Talisman?
Because these songs feel like protective charms to me. Small symbolic objects you keep close.
In this project, music is meant to be a space of connection — something that brings joy, carries positive energy, and perhaps opens a wider awareness of what we are.
A talisman, ultimately — something that connects, heals, and inspires.
✨ Stay tuned — the first track will be released soon…
