With the release of her first album "Shine Bright", TUDYKA gives us pop songs with electro and disco grooves laced with rock guitar recalling Brian Ferry's "Slave to Love" or Pink Floyd. Her songs evoke the sounds of the 70s and 80s, with 2015's modern day electro beats and textures.
A masterful alchemy gives a unique color to her music: the Tudyka Sound.
A talented singer & songwriter, comfortable in French, German and English, Caroline Tudyka's warm deep voice carries her songs with strength and delicacy."
She left Germany in the 90's to discover the "french chanson" in Paris. She founded the "Cabaret Poetik", a troupe of artists that paid homage to the songs of Jacques Prévert and Boris Vian.
The troupe performed at the Maison Heinrich Heine in Paris, the Théâtre du Thou Bout de Chant in Lyon and at the Rex Theater in Wuppertal (Germany).
Passionate about Poetry, Caroline rediscovered her love for the German poet Else Lasker-Schüler and composes songs on her poems and performed them solo at the piano in Lyon and Paris in café-théatres.
She also performed her own work under the name TUDYKA in the Théâtre de Jemmapes, the Théâtre de Menilmontant, the Café La Cigale and L'Entrepôt in Paris."
Following her appearances in diverse, vibrant artistic centres such as Berlin & Paris- on France 2's 'Les Mots de Minuit', France Inter Paris and other independent radio stations- audiences are hooked on her inspirational universe of fantasy and mystery in which the words of Nietzsche or Dylan Thomas are intertwined with bewildering melodies.
Caroline Tudyka has charmed audiences on television (Les Mots de Minuit, 2002, France 2) and radio (FIP and various independent stations) alike.
Her first EP 'Le temps d'un Soupir' (2003), a collaboration with drummer/ arranger Julien Tekeyan (Jehro, Khaled) got airplay on Radio France, FIP, Radio Alligre & SingSing among others.
At present, TUDYKA is releasing the album 'Shine Bright' that was produced by Patrice Courtois and John Shamir - 2015.
